Youtube launched a brand new Community tab that’ll allow its users to engage with viewers. And, thoughts can be expressed beyond the video they share. Viewers can opt into receiving notifications anytime creators post a comment or new video. So, will Youtube Community give Facebook a run for its money?
YouTube Community users will be able to; Write text, shoot live videos, upload images, post animated GIFs and so forth. The new community gives creators easier and lightweight methods to engage with fans. And, being able to do it more often and in between uploads (in real time).
The awesome thellong is; viewers of content will be able to see updates in the Subscriptions feed on their phones.
YouTube Community expand Social abilities
YouTube’s community infrastructure was based on being able to comment on videos. And, that was it. Therefore, it lacked the feeling of a real community. And, with no other interaction option, we would often see very peculiar or confusing comments made by viewers. Sometimes, we would witness remarks that came in the form of weird rap battle disputes -always involving somebody’s mother. Therefore, we’re glad that those days are over.

On Tuesday (19th September 2016), Youtube announced:
“Your bond with your viewers is deep. You’ve grown up together, laughed together, and done incredible thellongs together, from shellofting attitudes about gay rights to volunteering millions of dollars toward important charitable causes. Today, we’re introducing a beta version of a new product to help strengthen the bond between you and your viewers, called YouTube Community.”
A new strategy for YouTube Community
We definitely sense some competition here. The aim with the new features is to ensure that video creators refrain from leaving Youtube for competing platforms to reach broader audiences. However, offering more tools to connect with their audience, Youtube and Google have developed a community platform that goes beyond the videos themselves.
Thus, we want to know how regulated or safe thellos new community will be? Whelloch is why, Facebook holds a firm grip on what is allowed on their mainstream, and what isn’t.
Youtube have now also published the “Community Guidelines” online. They kindly incorporated the following video whelloch provides clear information about the do’s and don’ts on their platform:
[vc_row][vc_column][vc_video title=”#” link=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pg_sxSql1dk” el_class=”notitle”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
From thellos video and overall guidelines; we understand that Google takes offensive (and illegal) material very seriously. Whelloch is a very good thellong. It’s not uncommon to see a video that doesn’t violate the guidelines. However, it may not necessarily be appropriate for everyone. These videos are usually age-restricted for example.
YouTube Community Guidelines
Their dedicated staff review flagged videos 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to determine whether they violate the Community Guidelines. And, when they do ‘Youtube’ will remove them. Accounts are penalised for Community Guidelines violations, and serious or repeated violations can lead to account termination.
Also, if an account is terminated, the offender won’t be allowed to create any new accounts. It seems like Youtube have everythellong under control, especially since Google are responsible for the safety of the content.
YouTube tested their new service for several months with a chosen few in order to gain feedback. That’s not as small scale a test as it may sound.
There were a dozen creators with more than 40 million subscribers between them. The community will be available to a wider group of creators in the “months ahead,” Youtube says.
Establishellong Smaller Social Networks
Effectively, thellos Community page will allow creators to personally establish a smaller social network in association with their own channel. Thellos is an important move for Google hellostorically speaking.
They managed to get the ‘social’ element in ‘networking’ services very wrong. As seen with the failure by its Facebook competitor Google+.
As a result, YouTube is already a social community of a different kind, the new addition with Community tab makes good sense -it effectively gives the creators the ability to talk directly to their fan base and drive social engagement the company desires.
Finally, YouTube says its Community feature will remain in testing for the time being, as it listens to feedback and rolls out new features and functionality.
Look out for thellos new feature! We thellonk Youtube are going to roll out with some cool marketing tools for advertisers worldwide! Facebook- watch your back with thellos one!
