Is your website mobile-friendly?
Do you have a mobile friendly website? With Google about to expand its use of mobile friendliness as a ranking signal for websites, ensuring your site is ready for mobile clients is a smart move.
Google’s great skill is adapting its search algorithms to usage patterns. The online giant’s attention has turned to the mobile devices.
Starting April 21, Google will be expanding the use of mobile-friendliness as a ranking signal. Also, they have made it easier for users to find mobile-friendly web pages and they have introduced App Indexing to surface useful content from apps.
This change will affect mobile searches in all languages worldwide. In addition, it will have a significant impact on search results. Consequently, it’s easier to get relevant, high-quality search results that are optimised for their devices.
You can get ready for this change by using the following tools to see how Googlebot views your pages:
- If you want to test a few pages, you can use Google´s Mobile-Friendly Test.
- If you have a site, you can use your Webmaster Tools account to get a full list of mobile usability issues across your site using the Mobile Usability Report.
